Ideation BootCamp 2
Event Description
A 4-day ideation bootcamp was conducted by MCC MRF Innovation Park in collaboration with MoE’S Innovation cell (Government of India), MCC – Institute Innovation Council (IIC) and MCC- Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) at Madras Christian College on 27th and 30th of December.
Target Audience
The bootcamp was conducted exclusively for MCC student innovators who aspired to turn entrepreneurs.
Objective
The 4-day program intended to walkthrough the participants idea validation through art and science approach, market segmentation, lean model canvas and make the students ready to pitch perfectly.
Participants
Around 40 students from various departments like Mathematics, Physics, Commerce, Microbiology, Economics, Public Administration and Botany were participated, majority are from first year Bachelor and Master courses
Session and Speaker Description
Bootcamp session 1 – On 27th December 2021, A session with Mr. Naveen Lakkur, Chief Innovation Coach of Inspiring Innovation, Bangaluru on a talk entitled “Art and science of the perfect idea” inspired students on developing a winning idea.
Bootcamp session 2 – On 28th December 2021, A session with Mr. Rahul, Project Officer, IIT Goa on a session “The Introduction of Market Analysis” and thus bringing us to a clear understanding and systematic research .
Bootcamp session 3- On 29th December 2021, A session by Dr. M. Beutline Malgija, Bioinformatics Analyst, MCC-MRF Innovation Park on Market Research Questions and Pitching followed by Mr. Sole Vamsi Taju, II B.Sc., Botany, Madras Christian College on TNSI Registration.
Bootcamp session 4 & 5– On 30th December 2021, A session with Mr. Bharat Oswal , Head TEDXPune , Chief Happiness Officer gave a great insight and strategies on pitching perfect followed by Mr. Naveen Krishnamurthy, CEO, LadderMinds & Acodeidea Technologies on his brief workshop based talk on “Lean model canvas” a best way to create a business model canvas.
Event Response
There were good numbers of students who participated enthusiastically and were a highly energetic set of students pumped up with ideas.
Outcome
All students to the Bootcamp will receive a certificate of participation issued on a blockchain, courtesy of Hyperstack and Hypergrowth Labs, USA. The enthusiastic participants who have submitted their own pitching and canvas will be given a certificate of excellence and the remaining participants will receive a certificate of participation. The participants will be felicitated by the principal during the Best Innovation Award Winners’ announcement. Consistent performers were shortlisted based on attendance to more than 3 sessions and submission of the assignments
These students to handheld to fine tune further on the prototype development and business model iteration. Further these students will be encouraged to apply for pre-incubation program at MCC-MRF Innovation Park.
