MCC-MRF Innovation Park in collaboration with the Institution Innovation Council (IIC) and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) has organized a Bootcamp for the winners of Startup Mela 5.0 hosted by St. Joseph’s Institute of Management, Trichy on 16 & 17 March 2023. The Preincubation Programme, was a crucial initiative aimed at providing the winners of the JIM (Joint Incubation and Mentorship) Startup Mela with the essential knowledge and skills to transform their innovative ideas into successful ventures. MCC-MRF Innovation Park played a pivotal role as the knowledge partner in orchestrating this valuable event.

Description:
The programme started with an orientation programme on March 11, 2023, Saturday from 11 AM to 12 PM through gmeet.
Session I : The first session of the programme was dedicated to idea validation. Dr. Aarthi Ram guided the participants in evaluating the feasibility of their startup ideas. Practical exercises and case studies helped participants identify potential challenges and solutions.
Session II : Understanding the market is crucial for any startup. In this session, participants learned how to conduct market research, identify their target audience, and analyze market trends. The session also emphasized the importance of customer feedback in refining their business ideas.
Session III : The Lean Canvas Model was the focus of the third session by Dr. M. Beutline Malgija. Participants were introduced to this powerful tool for developing a one-page business plan. They learned to outline key elements such as value propositions, customer segments, channels, and revenue streams.
Session IV : A successful startup pitch can make or break a venture. In this interactive session, participants honed their pitching skills. They received valuable feedback from mentors, practiced elevator pitches, and learned how to communicate their ideas effectively to potential investors and partners.
In addition to the sessions, the participants enjoyed a campus walk to experience the nature and culture of MCC. Finally, certificates were issued for the winners upon successful completion of the course.
