Description:
The session began with a prayer led by Dr. Beutline Malgija, Bioinformatics Analyst at MCC-MRF Innovation Park. Dr. Mahalakshmi, Head of the Department of Microbiology, welcomed the gathering and introduced the speaker. Following this, the speaker delivered an informative talk on the significance of AI in healthcare, with a special focus on its applications in Microbiology. He covered the basics of machine learning and artificial intelligence, providing examples of supervised and unsupervised learning, particularly in the areas of pathogen detection, disease classification, and biomarker prediction. The session concluded with a Q&A session, followed by a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Mahima, Head of the Department of Data Science.
