Workshop on Design Thinking
MCC-MRF Innovation Park in collaboration with the Institution Innovation Council (IIC) and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) has organized a workshop on Design Thinking on 5th & 6th April 2023. The two-day workshop provided a platform for participants to explore and apply design thinking principles in problem-solving and innovation. Dr. Balaji, a recognized expert in the field, led the workshop, sharing valuable insights and practical techniques.

Description:
The session began with the word of prayer and welcome address by Dr. M. Beutline Malgija, Bioinformatics Analyst, MCC-MRF Innovation Park. Dr. Balaji initiated the workshop by introducing participants to the core concepts of design thinking. He emphasized the importance of empathy, creativity, and a user-centric approach in solving complex problems. The workshop featured a series of interactive sessions and hands-on exercises that encouraged participants to think creatively, collaborate, and apply design thinking methodologies to real-world challenges. Participants were divided into groups to work on practical design challenges, fostering teamwork and innovation. Dr. Balaji introduced various tools and techniques used in design thinking, including journey mapping, ideation, rapid prototyping, and user testing. Participants gained practical experience in using these tools to address problems from different perspectives.
Each session included dedicated time for questions and open discussions, allowing participants to seek clarification, share insights, and learn from Dr. Balaji’s expertise. These interactive segments enriched the learning experience. Certificates were issued to the students at the end of the programme.
